The building, an old Glasgow landmark, has immense character and history. Built of golden sandstone, it was originally commissioned as a great whisky house and is now listed for its architectural excellence. The Teacher Building is well located in the heart of Glasgow, with excellent transport connections and a fantastic range of restaurants and hotels within an easy walk. A venue like no other. The famous golden sandstone façade of the Teacher Building has long been a Glasgow icon. This superb Grade B listed building is part of the City's uniquely rich heritage of Victorian commercial architecture. Back in the 1870s, when whisky magnate William Teacher commissioned the building, the aromas of whisky would have filled the ground and first floors of the building which were used for vats, casks and bottling activities. For a hundred years, this was the home of a great whisky house. By 1974, they had outgrown the place and moved into the adjoining premises at No.22 St Enoch Square. The building, however, remained Teacher's worldwide headquarters until 1991. In 1995 the fine old building got a complete and careful makeover as it took up an entirely new role as the Scottish Engineering Centre. Now it is Scottish home of the Institution of Engineering and Technology � the world class professional organisation for engineering and information technology.

This is the natural break-out space for the Theatre - a relaxing space to cater for your delegates, host break out sessions or smart receptions.

Advanced audio visual capability in a wonderfully intimate, purpose built, tiered theatre that seats 125 people. The seating is fixed and comfortable, lines of sight are great and for everything from a film screening to a product launch or seminar, the theatre is ideal.

People love the views over the Square that you get up here on the second floor. They make the Scapa suite perfect for fine dining and drinks receptions. The suite also serves very well as a break out or catering room for a larger event.

Up on the 4th floor this is the perfect room for meetings of eight to fifteen delegates. This room is private, luxurious, affordable and very flexible - you must come up and see it.
